Carlos Nascimento defended his Thesis on November 13. The thesis is entitled Evaluation of WSN Technology for Dependable Monitoring in Water Environments and was prepared in the context and with the support of AQUAMON. The thesis presents a methodology to help users in the process of selecting adequate WSN technologies for a given WSN-based application in which the number of nodes and their relative positions are provided. The user specifies application requirements for each sensor node (transmission rate, payload size, etc) and the methodology computes a set of optimal solutions concerning the network topology and the WNS technologies to be used in each link.
Congratulations Carlos!
